Our products are made of toquilla straw. And as you well know, it is a handmade product, as it is hand-woven by master weavers in Ecuador.
In dry climates or when exposed to the sun, the straw dries and should, therefore, be humidified from time to time with a water vaporizer.
If the straw stains, as it is a garment that admits to being wet, it can be cleaned with a sponge and a neutral soap.
